Voluntary

Case Studies

Through Building New Futures, our not-for-profit division, and through working with other community organisations, we organise and participate in several voluntary and charitable ventures.

Some of our partner organisations include:

The Holywood Trust

Based in Dumfries, the Holywood Trust provides grants to individuals and organisations with an aim to improve the lives of young people throughout Dumfries and Galloway. The Trust has long been a recommended resource for young people both during and after completion of the courses that we offer. We have also collaborated with the Holywood Trust and the Care Training Consortium to develop a course which will prepare participants for working in the care sector.

Dumfries and Galloway LGBT Plus

We have hosted D&G LGBT Plus training and events, helping to promote advocacy and awareness relating to all aspects of the LGBT community. We also utilise LGBT Plus as a point of referral for our own learners and programme participants in need of support or guidance with LGBT issues or concerns

NHS Dumfries and Galloway

We utilise the NHS as a point of referral for learners and programme participants who raise concerns relating to their own health. In our offices, we supply information, contraceptives, and STI testing kits for the use of all individuals.
